Hey everyone! I'm working on the theme for the blog. In the meantime,
why don't we all introduce ourselves so that everyone has a good idea of
the kind of work you do. Along with a brief introduction, include one
of your favorite pieces you've done, be it sketch or finished work. Feel
free to add links to your other online work too!

And this is one of my favorite pieces I've completed. I completed this a while back during head drawing. We had been learning so much information about proportion and basic forms, but we hadn't really tried to draw an entire head. So--when we had a free 20 minutes with the model--I just went for it. It became a mixture of the information I had learned from Professor Hudson and what I observed. It isn't a perfect portrait of the model, but it was a landmark in my education.

Beautiful work, Steven! No drawing is perfectttt, but you've done a great job in the 20 minutes you had for this piece. Those clavicles are intense!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lane! That may or may not have been an area I took some artistic liberty. Haha.
ReplyDeleteLooking really solid man! Now I'm really sad I might not take that class, haha
