Hey everyone!
No art in this post, but a quick quotation from Ron Ranson's book about painting skies.
"Finally, never forget that your role as an artist is to entertain, so the worst thing you can do is to bore your viewers. You must provide them with excitement and stimulation, to the very best of your ability--but do remember to enjoy yourself while you're doing it!"
I hope this acts as a boon to you all, whether you are creating for class, for a job, or for your own personal work. It's really easy to get caught up in technique, which I have been guilty of lately. It's important to keep in mind that we are just making a visual statement, and we need to say it as simply and eloquently as possible. Have fun ya'll!
